The Challenge of Giving Up Sugar

To launch The CR Way to Great Glucose Control fall classes, we held the first get-to-know-you community meeting teleconference. This is an open discussion for all participants. Just listening to the reasons why people sign up for the course is helpful. It shows you ways to use CR Way resources to help with your dietary challenges.
For example, one new participant talked about the challenges of giving up sugar: Eating sugary foods can be comforting. Also, finding delicious, healthful foods to replace the comfort foods that send glucose soaring but that give you respite from the problems that we all face in life – is difficult.
We took that into account when we created The CR Way to Great Glucose Control. A key strategy is to help you increase neurotransmitters involved in satiety. When you can do that, your need for comfort foods disappears, just listen:

Every recipe is designed to be delicious, and there are close to a hundred recipes to choose from (and you’ll add more!) as well as hundreds of food selections. All the recipes are easy to fix.
We insist that every CR Way meal we eat be delicious and easy. We want that for you too! This video was created for The CR Way to Happy Dieting, an e-book we wrote after an appearance on Oprah, which sent thousands of people to LivingTheCRWay who wanted to lose weight. The same principles apply to those who want to kick the sugar/comfort food habit. We can talk about that in the live classes.
