What an extraordinary celebration on Sunday! Thanks to so many of you who came from near and far to join the gathering.
It seems that everyone who attended had a success story to tell. Even before many guests said hello, you could see their success just by their terrifically healthy-looking bodies.
To make sure everyone got a delicious welcome, we greeted people with some taste treats:
Pictured here are 1) a garden pea entrée, seasoned with rosemary combined with savory portabella and maitake mushrooms – nothing like boosting your immune system, which these amazing foods are known to do: they are also high in vitamin D; 2) pumpkin seeds, walnuts, lemon juice, and olive oil; 3) the lemon-flavored (lemon-juice-marinated) sprouted grain bread in the center is ready to be adorned with 3) a colorful tarragon cabbage spread loaded with phytochemicals and high in strontium and boron; 4) the vegetable salad in the back combines garlic, broccoli, and black radishes (high, high, high in phytochemicals).
Remember the old saying, “if I’d known you were coming, I’d have baked a cake”? Well, we did know that some of our glucose-challenged members were coming, so we created a special treat with fresh avocado on lemon-juice-marinated bran crispbread, a delicious way to enjoy food that’s healthful and has little or no effect on glucose.
One extraordinary aspect of the celebration was the number of partiers who have achieved a perfect weight. This included some sexy folks who were weight-challenged when they started. Now, their lives are completely different. They have more energy and enjoy life more: Their big health focus now is maintaining the healthy weight they’ve achieved.
One beautiful lady from Florida shared her glucose control and weight loss success. She uses an exotic fruit she discovered, followed by lemon juice to satisfy her sweetness cravings, so it is easy for her to fast in the evenings. She even brought some to share with the group! She described being very surprised that after only three weeks on her CR Way diet, she noticed improvement in her eyes and could now thread a needle for the first time in years.
If you are reading this and saying to yourself, I wish I were one of those success stories , cheer up! You will get there. We will join together to help you overcome your challenges.
